"What's her name? Oh, Hi Jennevieve. Where'd you get that name from? Family name?....Well it's pretty."

99% of conversations we have with passing strangers start and end as mentioned above. Unfortunately for me (but probably fortunately for them) I don't have time to explain but today I do! I promise I won't be long šŸ˜

To start, Jennevieve is a variation of the traditional name Genevieve and is pronounced Jen-uh-veev. We decided to change spelling because of the history behind the 'J' in my family. My grandma's name is Jennie, my mom is Janice, I am Jennifer, hence, my daughter is Jennevieve. It is also a perfect combination of both my grandmother's names, Jennie and Vivian šŸ’œ

Because we all know marriage is about compromise I agreed with my husband to give Jennevieve a middle name that began with the letter 'G' because his also begins with that letter. That's where we got the name, Giselle - pronounced jih-zell.

Yes, I know her name is long and hard to spell but she is super smart, so I am confident she will be A-OK.
